Congratulations to Kipmall Tampoi and KIP REIT on the official opening of KIPMall Tampoi on 8 February 2026, following the successful completion of its Asset Enhancement Initiative.
Certified under the GreenRE Existing Non-Residential Building (ENRB) Version 3.3 category, KIPMall Tampoi achieved a provisional GreenRE Gold Rating, reflecting strong efforts to improve building performance, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability within an existing retail development.
The opening ceremony was graced by YB Dato’ Hj Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, Chairman of the Johor State Housing and Local Government Committee, and featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and festive celebrations. A key highlight of the programme was the presentation of the GreenRE Gold Rating plaque, recognising the project’s sustainability achievement.
The plaque was presented by Ir. Ashwin Thurairajah, Executive Director of GreenRE, and received by Dato’ Ong Kook Liong, Managing Director of KIP REIT Management Sdn Bhd, and Mrs. Valerie Ong, Executive Director of KIP REIT Management Sdn Bhd, together with members of the management team and board of directors.
GreenRE also acknowledged the project team from KIPMall and KIP REIT, including Mr. Mohd Nizam Bin Hj Abd Hamid., Chief Operating Officer of KIP Property Services Sdn Bhd, and Mr. Liang Fook Seng (Danny fsliang), Senior Shopping Mall Manager. Appreciation was also extended to Ir. Yam Chik Lun, Xavier of Conevo Green Consultancy Sdn Bhd, the GreenRE Consultant for the project.
