GreenRE x SHAREDA Green Tour at 1 Utama Mall
Following the MOA signing, the SHAREDA delegation was hosted by 1 Utama Shopping Centre for a Green Tour showcasing the mall’s sustainability initiatives. The visit was part of GreenRE’s ongoing effort to demonstrate practical applications of sustainable design and operations in large-scale developments.
1 Utama, which is currently undergoing GreenRE Platinum certification, exemplifies how commercial success can coexist with environmental responsibility. During the session, Nur Maryam Ismail, GreenRE Assessor, delivered a presentation highlighting the mall’s green building features, including initiatives in energy and water efficiency, waste management, and biodiversity conservation.
The tour was guided by Mrs. Lee Lian, Public Relations Manager of 1 Utama, together with the 1 Utama team, who provided detailed explanations of the mall’s sustainability measures. The delegation visited several key areas, including the Secret Garden, Food Waste Management System area, 1 Rainforest, and 1 Recycling Centre, gaining valuable insights into practical and scalable green solutions within the retail sector.
